JUNIOR YEAR
I had a really fun and interesting time planning and filming this project. At first I was stressed because I was not sure who I was going to film with but my older sister volunteered to help me. I had to re-film scenes a few times because you could either see me or my sister laughing. I was worried that the overall finish product would not look good, but I really enjoyed the outcome! I was also grateful enough to use Adobe Premier Pro (which we used to edit while we were in school). Using this gave me much more tools to play around with and edit. I also believe this was my first PSA to ever film and edit, and I really enjoy the concept of it because I covered both Covid-19 and Safe Driving.
For this project we were given a list of songs related to the Coronavirus or were parodies. When I first listened to all the songs, none of them really grabbed my attention besides the song/video, "Favourite Things". I had a good time planning my video out and when writing things in, I had to be very specific because when the day came to film, I did not want to be confused and waste time not knowing what I wanted to do. Filming was pretty easy and lay backed because of that extra time I took to plan. I also had two "main characters" in my film, and at the time I did not have anyone to really help me so I played both characters. To make sure that my audience would not get confuse who was talking/lip-synching I had to switch my outfits/what I was wearing. I also took my glasses off so that it would look more "realistic" that there was two characters. Overall filming and editing this project was really fun and I had to get creative (which was challenging but worth it).
